  • Smoked Peppered Mackerel Salad (GF)
    With beetroot, lizard leaves, plum tomato and a light horseradish & lemon dressing
  • Ham Hock Rillettes with Toasted Pistachio (Va, GFa)
    With red pepper jam and toasted ciabatta
  • Mushroom and Tarragon Vol-au-Vent (Va)
    Topped with a soft poached egg & Grana Padano cheese

Mains

  • Steamed Fillets of Plaice (GF)
    Scented with garlic, ginger & basil and seasoned with soy sauce & sesame. Served with steamed rice and stir fried carrot & courgette ribbons.
  • Cauliflower Cheese & Butternut Squash Strudel (V)
    With onion marmalade, new potatoes and sautéed Brussel sprouts with hazelnuts
  • Chargrilled Escalope of Turkey (Va, GFa)
    With pigs in blankets, fondant potato, buttered vegetables and a cranberry red wine jus

Local Suppliers

 

Our Head Chef, Steve Hoyle, sources his ingredients locally where possible.

 

We aim to source all our meat from the West Country, and we use a high-quality Devon butcher. Our fish comes mainly from Brixham, and our mussels are from the River Teign, Teignmouth. We get our fruit and vegetables from a local greengrocer.

 

Steve and his team take pride in preparing all dishes here in our kitchen.

 

We even smoke our own meat, fish and cheese on the premises.
